NICHOLAS MARTINEZ

Study Abroad Program: University of Cape Town, South Africa
Program Location: Cape Town, South Africa
Other Countries Visited: Namibia
Home University: UC Santa Cruz
Major: Anthropology
Year: Senior (Graduating Spring 2016)

Nicholas is extremely passionate about conceptions of culture and learning about new perspectives in all parts of the world. He is a fourth year student with a passion for learning and asking questions. He loves to engage himself in literature, read articles in the LA Times, and feverishly write in his journal. His passion for travel came from talking to his mom about his grandfather’s life in Mexico and his adventures all around the beautiful countryside. When he is not caught up in a good book or editing his journal, he also likes to be active by going hiking with friends and playing volleyball indoors or on the sand.
